Danny left last Saturday to go see his Mom and brother in VA. You may recall me talking about it awhile back on here that we were all going to go. We tried to come up with different ways of us all getting there and in a budget friendly way. Unfortunatly, we didn't all get to go. I felt it was important though for Danny to see his family being its been 4 years. It worked out great for him to take a local shuttle to the airport right from one of our local hotels. This saved me from driving him 3 hours and then having to drive another 3 hours home alone with the 4 kids.
He arrived to VA late Saturday night and stayed until Wednesday morning. Because of layovers and waiting for his ride home he did not get home until 10:30pm! I had all the kids stay up so they could go to the local hotel with me to pick him up. They were so excited. And they even slept in this morning!
It was a long few days but we made it ok without him. He has never been away from the kids more than one night if we have gone to my sisters or parents house. So I know he missed us just as much as we missed him.
We are so glad to have him back home!
