~Living room~

For some reason I am getting lucky and my pictures are posting!
Guess I wasn't really out of storage and someone just wanted to make
alittle extra money.

This is our living room!

Looking in from the dining room.

We've had this computer desk since I started daycare 6 years ago!
Great space saver and I love that we can close the door and hide the clutter.

Itsn't that hutch pretty?!?!
I always wanted one at our old house and it just never worked out.
We found this for sale about 3 weeks before our move.
Thankfully Danny was on board and allowed me to get it.
We thought it was going in the dining room but it didn't fit
so we put it here in the living room.

If you click the picture you can see the dog hiding behind the end table.
She sleeps there all the time.

This is the second place we put the love seat.
There is a step up behind the love seat and my daycare baby was crawling up it.
I didn't want him to fall and I also did not want a bunch of gates around the house.
It worked out great to just move the love seat. I love that our steps have an open railing.
Our old house didn't have that and it always bugged me!

You might notice at the top of the steps there are 2 spindals that are bare and not stained.
We had to add those to license the upstairs for daycare.
We don't go up there with daycare kids but in order for my kids to go up
there during daycare is has to be licensed.

You can kind of see the step up there I was talking about.
This sliding door leads to Mason's room.
The door has to go! Its not a good door and I open this so many times
during the day since I use this room to nap the daycare baby
and also the other kids in the afternoon.
We kind of want french doors but just aren't sure.
Mason's room is really what most would call the den or office.
So we rather it be a more open area than all closed up.
However we need a door of some kind.
There is also a step down to go into Mason's room.

Closer look!

Alayna's corner!
She has all her special toys here. I try to keep these seperate
from the daycare toys since the little ones always put things in their mouth.
The planter was actually my Grandma Mary's.

Of course no post is a good one without a picture of the baby!
She is trying to stand up and get Maddison while she is at the computer.

We spend alot of time in the living room.
I love that we don't have to have many toys cluttering the room
(like we did at our old house).
One of the first homes we looked at had a basement we really liked and
would have been great space for daycare.
But the dining room was too small for our table and the size of our family.
The realtor suggested using the living room as the dining room.
I am so glad we didn't agree with her idea and buy that house.
The size of our living room now is just perfect.
